Successful Hydration

febbpwk05

Dry throats, itchy eyes, flakey skin; with the seasons starting to change the air becomes dry and our
bodies can feel it. It is important to always remember to stay hydrated to keep skin healthy.

I don't know about you, but it can be hard for me to remember to make sure I drink enough water every day.
Our bodies are made up of 60% water and everyday your body must replace 2.4 liters! Even if you
don't feel thirsty it is vital to your health and the health of your skin to consume enough water each and
everyday.

Here are some tricks you can use to make sure you are getting the right amount of water each and
everyday:

Carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go! -

Having a water bottle nearby makes it easy for you to
remember to drink, and I like to go out and buy a fun water bottle that suits my style and makes me want to
always have it with me.

Drink your weight in ounces. -

An easy way to make sure you are getting enough water is to simply drink your weight in ounces of water each day. So if your weigh 125lbs then aim to drink 125oz of water each day.

Make reminders for yourself. -

Many smart phones today have calendar reminders or alarms that you can set to go off at certain times during the day. Simply make a reminder to have a glass of water!

EAT your water! -

Many foods contain tons of water, like cucumbers, celery, and watermelon! Consuming these foods is a great  and delicious way to increase your daily water intake.

Flavor it up! -

There are many fun ways you can dress up a boring glass of water. Be creative and add fresh fruit or tea to your water. You can also drink coconut water or vitamin waters to shake up a normal glass of water.

Make it a Habit. -

Get up every morning and start your day with a tall glass of lemon water, bring a large mug of tea with you to bed or begin your lunch with a bottle of water. Whatever works best for you, just get into the habit of making consuming water a regular part of your day.
